Prior to being known as Dainik Bhaskar, the newspaper traces its origins back to the year 1948 when two newspapers were founded in Bhopal and Gwalior named Subah Savere and Good Morning India, respectively. It was in the year 1957 that these two newspapers came to be named Bhaskar Samachar and, the following year, it was renamed Dainik Bhaskar, and this name continues to this day. Dainik Bhaskar is owned and published by the Dainik Bhaskar Group, and it is the most widely circulated newspaper in all of India. It is one of the most popular Hindi language news publications and it has a robust presence in 12 states across India catering to an enormous reader base spanning not just India’s primarily Hindi speaking region, but also across the rest of the country.
